She came for redemption. After returning to the show from a very impactful loss on her previous season to Sasha Velour (the rose petals). Couleé was back and ready to take what was rightfully hers - this time with fiercer looks, undeniable comedic talent, and pride in her culture.
The final three queens in Friday night’s episode—Jujubee, Miz Cracker, and Couleé—were the strongest finalists in recent Drag Race history. They all come from a background of hard work ethic and each had their own touches of comedy. It was clear early on that these three would be the tops of the season after witnessing some of their amazing runways. Not only were they working the workroom, they also had some of the best fan-cams of the season, and let the fans know how passionate and hilarious they were at any given moment. However, Couleé seemed to always outpace the rest of the queens with her amazing backstories to almost every runway. Her Bubblegum Balenciaga Fantasy finale look was a "Love Letter To Black Women" inspired by her mothers pink prom dress. That is detail that you cannot just whip up. That comes from the heart.
